What They Said

The Koloa Rum Tasting is at Kilohana Plantation. The tour was about an hour. You have to pay a minimal amount to reserve your spot in the tasting. The room is intimate, so there weren't too many people. You line up several minutes before the assigned time. The bartender taught us about the process to make rum and then told us about the different types of rum. We got to try several different types and one mix they make. The samples rotate by the day, so you can go multiple times and get a different experience. There is a gift shop right outside, be sure to purchase the sample mini-bottles, it is the perfect gift for anyone. While you're there take the train ride about the plantation.
